The Deftones front-man has decided to do something that’s never been done before. As a part of the Secret Solstice Festival in Reykjavík, Iceland, Moreno will perform inside of a volcano for 20 lucky fans.
They will be lowered 400 feet inside of the Thrihnuagigur volcano. This may seem unsafe but the festival’s organizers say that this particular volcano hasn’t erupted in 4,000 years.
I can’t think of a more “rock n’ roll” spectacle and I’m not sure how anyone is going to top what Moreno is doing. Time for everyone else to step their game up.
2016 will mark the third year of the Secret Solstice Festival and this year’s line up includes Radiohead, Of Monsters and Men, Die Antwoord, Action Bronson, Flatbush Zombies, and many more including of course, Deftones.
The festival starts on June 16 and runs through June 19.
