Nirvana Live At The MTV Video Music Awards 1992 1080p HD

The king of the 90’s grunge scene, Kurt Cobain, shocked everyone at the ’92 VMA’s when he began singing “Rape Me” (the ONE song MTV asked him not to play) before a very confused band paused and began playing “Lithium”.
Krist Novoselic knocking himself out with the bass he throws in the air, the band destroying all the equipment. This was rock n roll at it’s greatest.
This was the same year Nirvana accepted the award for Best New Artist.
Check out the video of the performance below:

September 9, 1992 at the UCLA’s Pauley Pavilion, Los Angeles, CA

Nirvana “Lithium” Lyrics

I’m so happy because today
I’ve found my friends
They’re in my head
I’m so ugly, but that’s okay, cause so are you
We’ve broken our mirrors
Sunday morning is everyday for all I care
And I’m not scared
Light my candles in a daze
Cause I’ve found god
Hey, hey, hey

I’m so happy but that’s okay I shaved my head
And I’m not sad
And just maybe I’m to blame for all I’ve heard
But I’m not sure
I’m so excited, I can’t wait to meet you there
But I don’t care
I’m so horny but that’s okay
My will is good
Hey, hey, hey

I like it, I’m not gonna crack
I miss you, I’m not gonna crack
I love you, I’m not gonna crack
I killed you, I’m not gonna crack

I like it, I’m not gonna crack
I miss you, I’m not gonna crack
I love you, I’m not gonna crack
I killed you, I’m not gonna crack

I’m so happy ’cause today
I’ve found my friends,
They’re in my head
I’m so ugly, that’s okay, ’cause so are you,
Broke our mirrors
Sunday morning is everyday for all I care,
And I’m not scared
Light my candles in a daze
‘Cause I’ve found god

Yeah, yeah,
Yeah, yeah,
Yeah, yeah,
Yeah, yeah,
Yeah, yeah,
Yeah, yeah, yeah

I like it, I’m not gonna crack
I miss you, I’m not gonna crack
I love you, I’m not gonna crack
I killed you, I’m not gonna crack

I like it, I’m not gonna crack
I miss you, I’m not gonna crack
I love you, I’m not gonna crack
I killed you, I’m not gonna crack
