Donald Glover has finally given us news about his new music. Earlier last week he reappeared on twitter to drop a link to an app which showed a mysterious countdown. When to the countdown set to 0 on Saturday the app showed that Glover’s music alter ego, Childish Gambino, would be performing a full new album experience in Joshua Tree, California. The performances are set for September 3rd, 4th, and 5th, with ticket presales going online June 24th at 9 AM pacific time. The last music release we got from Glover was the double project STNMTN/Kauai from October 2014, with his last full album, Because The Internet, being released in December 2013. For the past few years Donald has been mum when it comes to music, appears in films like The Martian alongside Matt Damon and busy writing and acting in his own television show Atlanta, which is set to premiere in September.
