We’ve gotten to know Amarionette quite well over the last few years. They’re a band who has gone through quite a few changes and has managed to stay consistent and innovative.
They released an EP last summer titled AMVRI. I noticed a slight shift in the music with that release. Yes, it still has post-hardcore tendencies, but it’s also equal parts well crafted pop music. Not to mention the apparent 80’s synth/dance influence.
They followed that release with a string of catchy, dance-worthy singles throughout the rest of 2018.
It didn’t take long in 2019 for us to get blessed with another certified bop called “Chemistry”.
“The inspiration behind the song musically was to try and blend 80’s retro wave/synth pop with modern progressive rock elements. I think we really nailed that on this song.”
– Nick Raya (Guitar)
