Chad Szeliga, drummer of Black Star Riders, who recently wrapped up a tour in South America with Alice in Chains and Judas Priest has launched a new band, Walking With Lions.
Szeliga currently has 4 platinum certifications from previous releases with Breaking Benjamin and Black Label Society.
He met guitarist Kevin Hicklin (ex. 3 By Design) during a recording session for the Atomflower project which was produced by Ronnie King (Offspring, Pepper).
The pairing of Szeliga and Hicklin set the foundation to bring this group to life. With producer Ulrich Wild (Deftones, Static-X) at the helm and Gene Grimaldi (Johnny Cash, Slipknot) the band has honed in on a sound of their own.
Walking With Lions has inked a deal with Rockford, IL/Brooklyn, NY based non-profit label Independent Ear (SRG/ILS, Caroline, UMG, eOne) and just released their first single, “Ghosts” on February 1st .
