Kemkooley is a hip-hop artist from Houston, Texas. A town called Alief, to be more specific. He began making music early in life. At just 8 years old, one of the teachers at his daycare paid for his studio time because he wanted to share the passion he had for music.
With encouragement and support early on, Kem knew that he was going to pursue music as a career.
His new single “Do Tha Most” follows up a string of collaborations with the MONARCH3 collective.
Staying true to his Houston roots, there’s a definitely syrupy, slowed down feeling to the track. Kem’s part of the track brings a bit more of an R&B vibe while 1200Camo’s verse brings more of a traditional trap element. The balance of this song is what makes it so great.
Bringing his own personality to the trap music scene, Kem always seems to find new and interesting beats to compliment his vocal performance.
The instrumental bends and warps around the verses in a way that makes the song stand out amongst the competition.
The accompanying music video captures the vibe of the song perfectly. The visual is simple, clean and effective. There’s no convoluted storyline here, just vibes.
