The team at MONARCH3 Records must be tired. They spent the entire summer releasing music nearly non-stop. Despite the pure volume of tracks they’re putting out, the attitude and personality that makes these artists unique never falls by the wayside.
Friends of the blog Young God Blow and DAM3 are joined by Houston’s Kemkooley on their new banger “Summer ’16”.
True to it’s name, “Summer ’16” serves up nostalgia (complete with a pan flute) with a look back to what they call “the best summer ever”.
Fans of everyone from Jack Harlow to Lil Uzi Vert will vibe with this track. The way that the flows play off of each other makes a relatively long song seem shorter because it stays interesting.
I appreciate that the whole MONARCH3 team is willing to experiment within their genre to continue putting out a variety of tracks. Each song may not sound the same, but they all bring the same undeniable energy.
