Lex Cole is a pop/R&B artist from New York who’s currently based in Los Angeles, California. She studied at the Berklee College of Music. During her time there she received many unique opportunities including opening for Brian McKnight and singing back up with various acts.
She has since made a name for herself performing at multiple venues across New York like Crash Mansion, The Village Underground and The Cutting Room where she was accompanied by John Stamos on drums.
Her new four-track EP, One More Time finds Cole channeling the energy from 90’s and early 2000’s Pop/R&B.
The project as a whole is about Cole embracing her sexuality through her journey to self love.
The first track “Sleeping In” ended up being my personal favorite. The instrumental gives off an island vibe and the song feels like something I would have heard of the radio (when radio was relevant).
Cole has perfected the art of meshing pop and R&B together in a way where neither takes over. Both genres are represented equally and work symbiotically.
She debuted One More Time at a live concert event on 10/21/21 hosted by Twelvethirty Entertainment.
“This EP is a product of the last two years. I started seeing myself as a woman who knows what she wants out of life and love, and started embracing my sexuality instead of hiding from it. Though I made some mistakes, it’s made me stronger and helped me really love myself.” – Lex Cole
