Neef is a producer from Calama, Chile. He’s known he was destined to make music for some time now, releasing his debut album at only seventeen years old.
SOCKiTTOME is a vocalist/songwriter from Brighton, U.K. Although a relatively new artist, he has quickly built a solid fan base with only a few official releases.
Their new single “I Don’t Need That” is out now on TXTR Records.
Neef and SOCKiTTOME join forces and expertly meld their unique styles together on this progressive vapor twitch track.
The vocal tone and bouncy melody remind me a little of Twentyone Pilots. This performance solidifies SOCKiTTOME’s place in the sub genre very early on in his career.
Neef’s instrumental is shimmery and intense. I think he did a great job bridging the gap between vapor twitch and pop sensibilities. That cross-over appeal will lead this release to the forefront of playlists all over the board.
The whole song sounds super clean, the mix and master on point. Although it is a bit long, clocking in at almost 4 minutes, it’s so enjoyable that you don’t notice the length as much.
If I had to describe this track in one sentence: it’s a bright song with darker elements hidden within the layers.
