Savannah Kovacs is a singer/songwriter from Los Angeles, California.
She has a background in theatre and has performed in theatrical and musical productions all over the U.S.
After earning a BFA in drama, her focus began to shift to songwriting. She spent a while writing at a piano before beginning to want to explore the process more deeply.
She recalls one Thanksgiving break where she recorded a Billie Eilish cover in a home studio with a friend. She fell in love with the process of vocal arrangement and began to learn to record her own songs in Garageband.
She found John McLucas on YouTube while searching for vocal arrangement videos. From there, she discovered a supportive community in his Facebook group, The Modern Music Creator.
Kovacs currently freelances as a topliner and session vocalist and has recently begun to focus more on releasing her own music.
She cites some of her influences as Frank Ocean, Mac Miller, Doja Cat, Kehlani, SZA and Jhene Aiko.
Her new single, “Treasure” is accompanied by an incredible music video which was co-directed and produced by Avery Looser.
Looser is a writer/director/producer whose personal work has been recognized by SXSW, Sun Valley Film Festival, and Toronto International Women’s Film Festival to name a few.
Her branded and documentary works have been featured on ABC, CBS, broadwayworld.com, and more. She is the founder of BraveMouse, a media company focused on empowering women in front of and behind the camera.
