Joris Daniel is a composer/artist from The Netherlands who now resides in LA.
As a day job, Daniel creates scores for video games for companies like Moonwalk Audio. Along with that and his new solo project, he also plays drums in his band EMAEL.
He just released a new music video for his debut solo single “Give it All” that uses 360 degree technology. The video can be streamed via Oculus or on YouTube.
I don’t see many VR music videos. The last 360 visual I remember seeing was from indie legends Why? for their single “This Ole King”.
Daniel decided to make this song a worldwide endeavor by collaborating with Dutch, American, and South American musicians.
The video is definitely immersive and impressive. The visual matches the audio so exactly that it’s hard not to get lost in the frequencies.
It’s hard to compare this song to anything because Daniel has truly carved out his own sub-section in the world of electronica and synthwave.
