ihatekaye is a 17 year old alt-pop artist from California.
He has managed to rack up over 400,000 streams on SoundCloud while still remaining independent.
In his music, he blends hyper-pop and orchestral influences with more traditional emo trap sensibilities.
He describes his songs as a “war cry for anyone facing inner darkness”
He will be releasing his debut, a 6-track visual EP, via Rich Heart Records this year.
His newest single, “Incase”, explores his experiences with abusive relationships and substance abuse/addiction.
“When the world around you becomes too much and your mind is in a dark place, it’s really hard to pull yourself out of it. You go looking for all the wrong things to anchor you. I want people who have gone through what I’ve gone through to know they aren’t alone. I went through it too and there is hope.
