Mattia Salvadori is an Italian trumpet player, producer, and composer.
He has toured constantly, playing over 250 shows in Italy, Germany, France, and The Netherlands.
He produces for other artists as well as focusing much of his career on his pop band Scarlett.
He has worked with composers and done work for TV and movies.
This is Mattia’s first release as a solo artist and it’s titled “Madrugada”.
The song features vocalist C_loud and is a bouncy dance anthem.
The beginning of the track almost reminds me of an 8-bit video game. Once that trumpet sample drops, the song takes a different direction.
With hyperpop and vaportwitch qualities, Mattias carves his own corner out of the same stone that includes Battles and The Postal Service.
“Madrugada” is unassuming. It takes you on a journey where you’re hearing a song evolve, flourish, and close in a way that I don’t typically hear. Mattias is a good at doing what you DON’T expect. These days it’s so easy to just copy and paste something that has no soul. He seems to be someone who is willing to take sonic risks rather than following the recipe by the book.
