Honestly is an east coast alternative pop duo comprised of Dalton Winters and Eric Canto.
They just dropped their third single of 2020 today. It’s titled “San Francisco” and chronicles “a much happier time” from Winters’ relationship with his ex. To put it plainly: it’s a relatable-as-hell break up song.
There’s a definite raw emotion and legitimate pain behind the lyrics.
According to them, this is the song that made them start taking Honestly more seriously as a project.
Canto had this to say about “San Francisco”
“This song was the moment we knew that this project should be taken more seriously, and that we had something very special. This song perfectly exemplifies the feelings of nostalgia, infatuation, and excitement consistent with summertime.”
There is no doubt the song is catchy and honestly (no pun intended) the first thing I thought when I heard it was “Why isn’t this on the radio?”
The short answer of course is no one listens to the radio. In all seriousness, I’ll be surprised if you don’t see Honestly start to appear on your favorite playlists and tour with your favorite bands.
Their debut album is set to be released on June 19th, 2020.
