We were all sad to see Warped Tour end, but it turns out pop punk is not dead!
Chicago trio joyful. are back with a new single, “Big Funeral”. As the title suggests, this song is about dealing with loss.
This is something I’m sure we can all relate to. Feelings are hard to articulate but joyful. does a great job of getting their point across without having to be overly literal.
What I really appreciate is that the instrumentation and vocals aren’t over dramatic.
It reminds me of Saves the Day without the whiny vocals.
I’m not sure if the line “say it like you mean it” is supposed to be a nod to pop punk vets the Starting Line, but I’m going to take it as one.
As you may or may not remember, joyful. just dropped their debut single less than a month ago.
