When most people think of the Detroit music scene, (especially hip hop) they think of Eminem or even Big Sean.
There’s a new artist emerging from the D that is influenced just as much by those rappers as bands like Blink-182 and Fall Out Boy. His name is KNDRGRTN.
Art and music played a substantial role in his upbringing, and although he no longer resides in Michigan, he keeps home in mind all through his creative process. Never forgetting where he came from.
KNDRGRTN’s new track “Blue and Grey” is his most personal work to date. He opens up about his depression and attempts to numb his emotions. Bringing all the emo-hip-hop vibes, the track opens with a soft indie guitar riff laced over a looping beat.
“Blue and Grey” is also produced by Beewirks (Pusha T, Lil Wayne, Jeezy) and will be featured on KNDRGRTN’s new EP Sleeping With My Clothes On slated for release later this summer.
