MY 10 FAVORITE ALBUMS: Jim Haney (Perhaps)

Psychedelic trailblazers Perhaps are currently at work on their 7th LP. This one is very different from anything they’ve ever done before.
In Jim’s own words:
“Trying new things and approaching the music from a different perspective has been a lot of fun. This record has some future-psych /space-disco vibes.”
The band released a “compilation” album called Excerpts back in December via Riot Season.

They are a great label from the UK who also released our albums V (2017) and Hexagon (2018) on LP. Perhaps had an EU tour booked for this year but had to postpone it. Set to be re-scheduled sometime soon. So now the group are focusing on the creation of album #7!
In the meantime, Jim Haney recounts some of the albums that have influenced him the most:

Mainliner- Mellow Out

Henryk Górecki – Symphony No. 3

Fela Kuti – Alagbon Close

Butthole Surfers – Locust Abortion Technician

Tangerine Dream – Zeit

Magma – Mëkanïk Dëstruktïẁ Kömmandöh

Squarepusher – Burning’n Tree

Grateful Dead – Dick’s Picks Vol. 2: 10/31/71

Boris – Flood

Keith Whitley & Ricky Skaggs – Tribute To The Stanley Brothers
