Along the Lines Of is a progressive experimental post-hardcore quartet who all met in Friendswood TX, while in high school.
The project formed from drummer Alexander Hernandez and guitarist Brian Solano, who met in middle school during band class in 2008.
The main idea of the music was to remain high-energy while having intricate melodies and harmonies to be a major part of their direction.
With the addition of Angel Ortiz and Rodrigo Gamarra in 2013, they newly founded band began to spread its creative wings, allowing itself to write parts and songs that were more heavily influenced by jazz, funk, R&B, fusion, and Latin musical styles.
They have shared the stage with acts such as Closure in Moscow, Emarosa, A Lot like Birds and Alaska.
Their debut 5 track EP Shatter was released in 2016 and produced by NASA mechanical engineer/part time audio engineer Alvaro C. Rodriguez at Red Flag Studios.
The suggestion to record their music was brought up by their friends from local HTX band Mannequin Mishap.
Along the Lines Of will be heading into the studio this summer to record their next 6 track EP which is projected to be released by late 2018/early 2019. Afterwards they aim to tour the West Coast in support of the new EP.
To hold us over, the band released a brand new song this year called “Last Night’s Fight”:
