Lucky Mint is an alternative pop band that comes from Rexburg, Idaho and delivers some very trance inducing synth wave pop music.
If you’re a fan of bands like Passion Pit, Tokyo Police Club, Two Door Cinema Club, and Broken Bells then Lucky Mint is what you’ve been waiting for.
The band members are Jerren Devine, Jordan Hernie and Sean Deniston and they were kind enough to count down their Ten Favorite Albums with us:
Jesse Rutherford – &
“Jesse, the frontman of The Neighbourhood, delivers an unapologetic line dance between Pop, Trap, and Modern R&B. Fantastic hype album.”
Third Eye Blind – Self Titled
“One of the most influential records of our era. Between the catchy hooks and the obvious “instant classic” feel, this album is nostalgia at it’s finest. We recommend diving into the record from the beginning, and riding that wave till the end.”
The Maine – Lovely Little Lonely
“An album that is front to back stimulating. I love the energy that starts the album, and the journey it takes you on. The Maine nailed the “happy-sad” pop. From the infectious Black Butterflies and Deja Vu to The Sound of Reverie, this album easily gains a top spot on the favorite album list.”
Noah Gundersen – White Noise
“What an incredible rock n’ roll record. Us collectively as a band are obsessed with Noah Gunderson. Sean started off listening to him with the Ledges album, and then slowly got every single one of us in the band to get super into White Noise.”
Ficionist – Sleep Machine
“Such an intricate album! The tones are unique and produced to perfection. In fact, they even made the record a little “looser” to let even more energy come out of the songs. The seamless transitions make for an even smoother drive while listening to this record. “We Can Sleep When We Die” feels like a song they took straight from my head. Amazing talent from nearby Provo, Utah.”
Marc E. Bassy – Gossip Columns
“This is what a Modern Pop album is supposed to sound like! Marc has a powerhouse voice, and some of the best flow in the game. “Plot Twist” with Kyle is fantastic, and our personal favorite, “Heroine”. Killer album.”

The True Blue – Other Summer
“Flawless vocals, catchy lyrics, and a steady yet embellished groove. The True Blue has been on Jordan’s radar for a minute now, and they keep getting better with each song they put out. Great music, great band.”
Ausustana – Self-Titled
“What an album! From front to back, this album has been on my steady rotation for the last 4 years. I’m obsessed with the uniqueness of Dan Layus’ voice, the perfectly laid drums, and the guitar tones of this album. Shot in the Dark makes me want to fall in love again.”
YG – Still Brazy
“If you’re a fan of West Coast rap and hip hop, you’ll LOVE YG. Still Brazy managed to capture the spirit and culture of an era by staying traditional with it’s beats, but still giving it a very modern “revival” feel. Twist My Fingaz bass line gets me every time. Perfect hype album”
Brandon Flowers – The Desired Effect
“Everything Brandon Flowers puts out is good, whether it’s The Killers or his solo projects. However, there’s something about this record that is next level. This album definitely delivers the “larger than life” feeling, which is our favorite part to every Killers or solo album.”
