California Band Faulkner Are Ushering in a New Wave of Rock

Based in Venice, California, Faulkner have been hard at work for some time now. Their upcoming debut full length album was recorded at Rick Rubin’s Shrangi La Studio & East West with help from legendary producers RZA (Wu Tang Clan), Mark Needham (The Killers), and JP Bowersock (The Strokes).
Last year the group started to turn heads with their “NY Anthem” when the song was heard at the New York Yankees home games, and became the New York anthem for the US Open.
The band released a new single today called “Hot Streak” and even from the opening 30 seconds the influence of 80’s new wave is apparent. This is bringing music back to it’s roots to be what it should be: fun. This is the type of song that makes you move. If this single is anything indication of what to expect from the full length album then I expect to be nothing short of impressed.
