Last year science fiction fans everywhere celebrated the return of the longest running TV series of the genre, The X-Files. It had been fifteen years since we last saw Mulder and Scully and the return was viewed by more than 16 million people.
A brand new 10-episode installment of the popular show has been confirmed to be returning to FOX in 2018. The new season will be executive-produced by creator Chris Carter, with stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson returning.
The X-Files originally premiered in September 1993. It earned 16 Emmy Awards, five Golden Globes and a Peabody Award in it’s original nine year run.
