The past few years Paramore’s lineup has gone through some significant changes. Zac and Josh Farro, original drummer and lead guitarist, both departed from the band in 2010, and Jeremy Davis, co founder and bassist left in 2015, leaving just Hayley Williams and Taylor York. Paramore announced then that they would continue as a two piece band.
Through various social media posts summer 2016 it was confirmed that Zac Farro was going to be drumming on their highly anticipated 5th album, but he validated that it was going to be just that, and wanted to make his band Half Noise his priority.
February 2017, the band has suggested that Zac Farro will be rejoining the band, permanently. They released a picture of baby Farro on a t shirt with the quote “I’m back” through Twitter attached with this link http://www.paramore.net/social. Then, a day later they released a photo of them together with the caption “tres”. They haven’t gone too in depth since these photos, but if that’s not a confirmation I don’t know what is!
This is incredibly comforting news to all Paramore fans. The last album they released was their Self Titled LP back in 2013! Needless to say, we are all yearning for some new Paramore jams, especially now since an original member is back. Could this mean a possible 10 year anniversary tour for “Riot”? I hope we find out soon!
