Looks like Jon Bernthal’s fan favorite Punisher will get a story of his own to tell.
Netflix announced today that after such critical reception of the character while feature the second Season of Marvel’s Daredevil, The Punisher is set to get his own series. The Punisher will follow ex-Marine Frank Castle as he enacts his own brutal form of justice while searching for the criminals who murdered his family.
This makes Punisher the 6th Marvel show on Netflix, following Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and crossover team show The Defenders. Writer and executive producer Steve Lightfoot (Hannibal, Casualty) has been confirmed as showrunner for the series. We’ll have to wait a while for the series, but in the meantime, you can check The Punisher out in season 2 of Marvel’s Daredevil, out on Netflix now.You may also like
