Late last year it was announced that there would be a new movie adaptation of the 90’s Saturday morning TV classic, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.
The last film version of the classic show was released almost 10 years ago, in 1997.
When this announcement was made the first cast member to be revealed was film vet Elizabeth Banks as the legendary villain Rita Repulsa.
Just today the first image of her character in full costume and makeup was released.
Banks stated that she’s “Never played a villain before” and that she looks forward to “world domination and being unpredictable as a character.”
It’s also said that this movie will establish a back story as to how Repulsa and the Power Rangers connect.
