Control is the first release from Chase & Status‘ fourth studio album due for release later this year. The track features the UK Punk duo Slaves. The collaboration offers an addition to the Drum and Bass duo’s already impressively diverse range of sound. Control’s aggressive bass line coupled with Isaac Holman‘s repetitive shouting is undeniably reminiscent of The Prodigy. BBC Radio 1‘s Annie Mac had first dibs premiering the track as Tuesday’s Hottest Record. The politically charged video directed by Henrik Hansen followed on Wednesday.
2015 saw Chase & Status team up with some of their most beloved London MC’s for a 4 volume series entitled The London Bars Project. Volume 1 features Frisco of Boy Better Know. Boy Better Know made headlines just yesterday after Drake announced he had joined the label which was started by grime veteran Skepta.
