Just a few days ago Florida musician Kitty put out a brand new song/music video. This time, collaborating with her husband Sam Ray (Teen Suicide/Ricky Eat Acid) to form what I imagine will become one of my new favorite acts, The Pom-Poms.
This is another completely DIY endeavor by Kitty and Sam which makes it’s quality that much more impressive. They are living proof that you don’t need am major label or 20 people in a room to make great art.
It’s been over a year since Kitty released her incredible debut full length album Miami Garden Club and it did anything BUT disappoint. Objectively one of my favorite released of 2017.
Back in February they released an album under the alias American Pleasure Club that grew on me all through 2018 as well.
I’m excited to see what’s next from The Pom-Poms, because it seems that Kitty and Sam will settle for nothing less than outdoing themselves with every release.
