MY 10 FAVORITE ALBUMS: Keith Cullen

Keith Cullen doesn’t make average pop music. His style of singing brings a comfortable feeling to his first ever EP, Iron Clouds. This Irish singer/songwriter draws influence from all over the spectrum.
Keith when asked how narrowing down this list was going:

“I sat down to try to write out my top 10 albums and realized that this is like a torture test. Choosing only 10  for someone like me who loves music across most genres is not an easy feat.
Albums for me are extremely nostalgic and often remind me of the exact time and place I listened to them, adding music to important moments of my life.
But regardless of the struggle I have gone through to comprise this list, I have made it through and the following are my favourite albums.”

Alicia Keys-  Songs in A Minor
“I played this album to death. I remember hearing “Fallin” and being mesmerized by her voice.”

Yolanda Adams- The Best of Me
“This is my ‘let’s be grateful’ and ‘get motivated’ album. ‘This too shall pass’ I would suggest everyone going through a tough time have this on repeat.”

Josh Groban- Awake
“The song “You are loved -don’t give up” I literally played on repeat for a long time, that and “February Song”.

Sara Bareilles- Little Voice
“I think this album is extremely vibrant. “Love Song” which was also released as a single is, in my opinion ‘pop bliss’. Sara says ‘I’m not gonna write you a love song, cause you asked for it. Well, Sara, I’m right there with you on that one.”

Whitney Houston – The Bodyguard Soundtrack
“I love pretty much all of her records but since I have to pick one…I just love singing along and still to this day surprise myself that I can hit all the high notes! The stand out track for me from this album is “I Have Nothing”.

One Republic- Oh My My
“I found this album really diverse. My favourite song is “Wherever I Go” “I know I could lie but I’m telling the truth, wherever I go there’s a shadow of you.” These lyrics really hit me every time.”

Janet Jackson- The Velvet Rope
“For me in 1997 this was such a grown up and sexy/racy album I fell in love with it and the tour that followed.”

Daley- Days and Nights
“This album literally moved me to tears the moment I pressed play. My favourite track is “Broken”. Many a time I cried to that track, it really resonates with me.”

Tamar Braxton- Calling All Lovers
“The modern day Mariah Carey! I stumbled upon her reality show which she is hilarious in and I was hooked on her personality. Only to then hear she sings like an angel! My favourite song by Tamar is “King”.

TLC – TLC
“The album they released this year through a KickStarter campaign. I loved the vibe and the album is currently my companion in the gym. “Sunny” and “American Gold” are the highlights.”
