The return of Future Hendrix is among us.

2016 was a huge year of Atlanta rapper Future, dropping two projects, Purple Reign and Evol, 3 weeks apart in January, embarking on the Summer Sixteen tour in June with friend and frequent collaborator Drake, and dropping a few loosie tracks like That’s A Check and Made For This towards the end the year. It seems that the Trap Jesus is back to work on new music for the new year, dropping off a video for his latest banger, Poppin’ Tags. Premiered a couple months ago on an episode of Drake’s OVO Sound Radio show on Apple Music, the track is signature Future, showcasing grimy, dark, synthesizer and 808 heavy production while Future raps about baller status using classic references, like the line “King Jaffy Jaf, my body wrapped in gold”, a reference to the film Coming To America. The video shows Future enjoying life in Dubai, surrounded by beautiful women, money, and foreign cars. Check out the video below.
