11988606_540505846102805_3276174773060788307_nSeattle melodic metalcore band Avoid the Void just released their debut EP,“The Trench, a day early. The four piece is my favorite local band from Seattle, as well as some of my best friends. The EP runs at around 20 minutes. The production quality on this release is top notch, and the songs that had been released prior as demos (“The New H.E.L.L.”, “The Trench”, and “Breathe”) sound as good as their newer songs (“The Lost” and “Shapes”). Fans from the Seattle area will recognize all of these songs if they have seen them live recently.

The band captured their live sound perfectly on this EP and this will most likely find its way on my Top 10 list at the end of the year. If you’re a fan of bands such as: Like Moths to Flames, Northlane, Abstracts, or any metalcore bands with a melodic spin to it, don’t hesitate to check out their full album stream below.
