A few friends and I took the two hour trip to check this place out the other night, and it was well worth it. The name is a little misleading because not only do they have tons of drinks but also a full food menu.

They carry everything from locally brewed beer and cider to your favorite go-to brands (Blue Moon, Yuengling, Coors, Budweiser, etc) to three full liquor bars! I tried a few ciders, the one I was most impressed with was Ace BlackBerry cider. They are also known for the biggest drinks in St. Pete with their 32 oz. drafts and cocktails.

We sat at a table outside and decided to try 4 different entrées and try some of each. I was surprised enough that a place like this served food and even more surprised that the food was amazing!

We tried Loaded Drinkery Fries, Chicken Tacos, Hot Mama Burger (with cream cheese, sirracha, wasabi slaw, jalapeño, and cheddar jack cheese), Classic Sliders and their signature Mac and Cheese Melt (with pulled pork and Mac and cheese). Everything on the menu is $5 or less and its honestly some of the best food I’ve ever had.

5 Buck Drinkery offers one of the best, most relaxed environments in downtown St. Pete. They offer daily specials as well!

Monday– Team Trivia starts at 9 p.m.

Tuesday– $4 Jack Daniels and Jack Daniels Honey from 9 p.m.-close

Wednesday’s Hospitality Hump Day: $2 Miller drafts and Coors bottles, $3 Smirnoff, Bacardi, and Captain Morgan, and $3 burgers.

Thursday– $5 liters of domestic drafts ($1 more for crafts or imports) from 9 p.m. to close.

Saturday– $3.50 mimosas and bloody marys while the sun is up.

Sunday– $10 buckets of Coors light, $3.50 mimosas and bloody marys.

I left that dinner wondering how I’d never heard of 5 Bucks Eatery, especially considering how many times I’ve been to St. Pete in the past.

It’s located at: 247 Cental Ave.  St. Petersberg, FL 33701

and is one of the absolute best and most affordable spots to eat and drink that I’ve come across in Florida.
